Have you seen the Boss Baby movie? We're sharing our movie review, plus a secret formula recipe. Make your own Boss Baby Secret Baby Formula Cocktail with our recipe idea!

Boss Baby: Secret Baby Formula Shake Cocktail

If you haven’t taken the family to go see Dreamworks’ latest release Boss Baby you may be guilty of criminal juvenile neglect! Seriously, take them! Everyone is going, you included!  You will LOVE it! We were lucky enough to attend an advanced screening of Boss Baby a week before it opened nationally and let me say this, WAY COOL! WAY, WAY COOL! At first, I thought it was lukewarm or at best ambivalent about the whole Boss Baby flick, sad but true. I was unsure if I would even enjoy the movie or not, which goes to show that you should never judge a movie by its trailer. But, shortly after my butt was in the seat I was all in with both feet and laughing along with our boys and all of the rest of the movie goers! It’s a funny and smartly written movie and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Honestly, I have to admit this is one of the funniest 3D animation movies I have ever seen

It’s totally worth the price of admission and then some

Sir Alec Baldwin is riding a wave right now, and this project is the perfect outlet for his star shine to, well, shine! And although the rest of the cast did an amazing job, the character known as Boss Baby carries this movie and is completely hilarious and a bit badass (but in a so cute way)! This is a great little film depicting sibling rivalry, inter-familial insecurities, separation anxieties, change, belonging, and acceptance. Yes, all of these serious issues are addressed and it’s still a laugh riot! If Warren Buffet and Walt Disney had a bunch of babies I am thinking one of them would be named Boss Baby. That’s funny, so insert a laugh here!

The Boss Baby

Spoiler Alert, read no further…

Okay, I am giving a little bit away right now so look away and go make yourself a sandwich or something. Here’s a quick synopsis, Boss Baby is sent to the home of Tim’s (Timothy Leslie Templeton) family mainly because Tim’s parents work at Baby Corp. Boss Baby is on a secret mission to get to the bottom of a serious problem. Apparently, there is only a finite amount of love in the world and puppies are encroaching on the percentage of love babies are getting, and if the “puppy” love is not thwarted the future of babies all over the world over is doomed. Talk about 1st, 2nd and 3rd world problems? Right?! But right off the bat, Tim and Boss Baby butt heads because Tim is having a difficult time adjusting to the “new” baby getting so much love and attention from his parents. Miles Christopher Bakshi voices young Tim and Toby Mcquire handles the voice of the adult voice of Tim.  Ya’ know just FYI stuff.

The Boss Baby

Isn’t this a face only a mother could love or what?!!!

Anyhoo, somewhere along the way Timmy and Boss Baby join forces to foil the seemingly evil puppy plot for world domination. You will see bad guys and good guys (and Elvis impersonators too). Somewhere along the way this movie touches you right there in that soft spot known as your heart. This is a super-duper cute movie, and it’ll transport you away, but be warned though, you’ll laugh out loud a lot and that’s okay!

Overall, the theme of importance of family is displayed throughout the movie, and wraps up nicely at the end.

Rating: This movie is approved for the whole family. There are a few rude humor jokes that younger kids may not get, but as the adult, you will laugh. This film is rated PG, and we give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Boss Baby Cocktail

You won’t believe just how rich and creamlicious this baby is! And the vanilla version has a double dose of moonshine!

Now, let’s talk about our Boss Baby: Secret Baby Formula Shake Cocktail. In the movie the top-secret baby formula keeps Boss Baby a living and breathing baby with a very mature alpha male personality! So the cat’s out of the bag, and if you haven’t guessed it, the Secret Formula was our inspiration for making this adult cocktail creation. And so without further ado, check out our Boss Baby: Secret Baby Formula Shake Cocktail feturing TOPO Organic Carolina Whiskey Moonshine.

I plan on taking Madison to see this on Tuesday. She goes back to school tomorrow so it’ll be a treat. Now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to drink this drink, I’d rather have mine in an adult cup. 🙂
