Easy Apple Cranberry Chia Seed Jam

This is the perfect time of year to make Jam. With all of the harvest coming in from the Apple trees, Apple Orchards, we can have a lot of fun with creating fresh, healthy and delicious recipes. Last week we had a chance to go to one of our local farmer’s market to pick up up some fresh Apples and cranberries. With those fresh cranberries we were able to make this EASY recipe for Apple Cranberry Chia Jam.

jam recipes, easy jam recipes, cranberry recipes

This would be the perfect recipe and even a dessert for Thanksgiving. Especially with some homemade biscuits (which I need to find an easy recipe- if you have one leave a comment below and let me know!)

Anyways, this recipe calls just for 5 ingredients, with most of them probably already in your pantry!

Ingredients for Apple Cranberry Chia Seed Jam

1 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
2 cups Fresh Cranberries
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup Chia Seeds
½ tsp Cinnamon

Apple Cranberry Chia Seed Jam

Directions for Apple Cranberry Chia Seed Jam

Combine apple sauce, cranberries, maple syrup and cinnamon in a medium sized sauce pan and cook on medium heat. Stir everything well, and cook for 15-18 minutes, stirring frequently. As the berries burst, you might need to stir more often. After all the berries have burst, stir in your chia seeds and mix well. Remove from heat. Let jam cool for a minute or two. Spoon into jar or container and refrigerate. As it cools, jam will thicken. Lasts for 8-10 days in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
