Patriotic Snow Cones {easy & fun recipe}

Get into the Patriotic mood with this fun recipe for Patriotic Snow Cones!

They’re the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day.

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year.

I love all the festivities around Memorial Day and the 4th of July weekend.

I also love being able to entertain in our backyard with close friends and family during the summer. This fun recipe is a great treat for kids and adults.

And while you’re in the Patriotic mood, try my Red, White, and Blue Shortbread Ice Cream Sandwiches recipe.

How To Make Red, White, and Blue Snow Cones

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb of sugar
  • 1 qt of water
  • 3 packets of unsweetened Kool-Aid (red, clear, and blue)
  • Ice

  2. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool.
  3. Put each flavor of Kool-Aid into a separate container.
  4. Divide sugar syrup equally between each.
  5. Replace the cap and shake well.
  6. Refrigerate syrup.
  7. You can get an ice shaver or use a blender or food processor to crush ice.
  8. Heap shaved ice up to form a ball on top of your cup.
  9. Carefully pour the syrup in thirds on top to make stripes.
