Best Of Summer Round Up! {Recipes, Crafts & More}

What does summer mean to you?
To me it means nice weather, good food and quality time with the kids. Summer goes by so quick and this summer I really want to make the most of it. I’ve put together a list of recipes and crafts that I think will make my summer that much better! I hope you find something on this list that inspires you to make this summer the best one yet!

1. Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken – What an awesome dish for summer! Doesn’t Hawaiian chicken just sound like a summer dish! I love that this is a slow cooker dish, my husband doesn’t have BBQ in the heat and I don’t have to warm up the house using the stove. Best part about this dish is it is allergen-free. No eggs, diary or peanuts are in this dish.

2.  Salad Bar Party – This is such a creative idea and perfect for summer parties. This post even has a free printable to make your party run that much smoother. I’ve never heard of a salad bar party but I might have to try one after reading this post.

3. How to Make A Herb Garden – This herb garden is stunning and looks complicated but it’s really not! The blogger does a great job of breaking down each step. This would be a great summer activity to do with your kids. You can also turn this into an educational lesson.

4. Crock Pot Baked Potatoes – No need to warm up the house baking potatoes in the oven. This post shows you how to do them in the crock pot. Genius!

5. Tuna Pasta Salad – This would be a great side dish for any summer BBQ. This also appears to be a very budget friendly dish, which I know we can all appreciate.

6. Create Some Sparkle – This post shows you how to “bling” out a pair of flip-flops. Such a fun activity to do with little girls. I’m sure the teen girls would even like this craft.

7. Puffy Paint Project – The kids are going to love this summer craft! With the weather warming up you will love doing this outside to avoid any messes.

8. End of the School Year Interview – What a great way to capture memories with your child. Spend some time this summer doing an interview with your kids and make sure to take lots of pics.

9. Ice Cream In A Bag – Ice cream in a bag is going to happen at our house this summer! The kids are going to think you are the coolest mom ever. Who need’s McDonald’s when you can make ice cream in a zip lock bag.

10. Pineapple Jello Slices – This is a fun recipe to make with the kids but it would also be a perfect snack for a family BBQ.

Do you have a summer recipe or craft? I’d love to read all about it!
