DIY Glitter Shoes
These do it yourself glitter shoes are so much fun to make and a great way to spruce up a boring pair of pumps! You can do so many different colors or combinations of colors! This would be a great project if you or your little girl are dressing up as Dorothy this Halloween and don’t want to buy the shoes! It’s a very simple project, doesn’t take a whole lot of time and is pretty affordable! Let’s get started on how to get these pretty pumps!
Money Spent: $5
- a pair of heels
Time spent: 35 minutes
Before we start, I would suggest doing this particular project outside because it does get pretty messy!
- First, I would suggest putting something inside of the shoe such as paper towels or tissue paper because I did not and I got glitter stuck in my shoes and it got all over my feet when I went to wear them!
- Next, you can use any type of glue but I chose to you spray adhesive that I got at Wal-Mart for about $3! I would imagine just white glue or mod podge would be a great option as well!
- Finally just start sprinkling the glitter on until the shoe is fully covered and you can’t see any of the color of your heel through the glitter
- Allow about a 20 minutes for it to dry!
- Then you’re done!
I really enjoyed doing this project! I ended up using the heels for a friend for a photoshoot that I conducted! But like I said, I think it would be a GREAT idea to use this for Halloween! If you don’t have a plain pair of pumps you’re willing to part with you can find a pair at goodwill for $1-$3! That’s where I got this pair! Have fun glittering!
