Duo Toned Bloody Mary

I recently put a unique twist on the classic Bloody Mary cocktail. And in summation, I describe it like this, “It’s two great taste that goes well together!” The carrot juice, once poured over the back of a bar spoon is suspended over the Bloody Mary mix, both of the carrot juice and Bloody Mary mix is wondrously spiked with TOPO  Moonshine Carolina Whiskey! Yup let the good times roll!

The Best Bloody MaryWe recently threw a football party bash with a wonderful Popcorn Bar, and we needed some adult beverages to go along with the festivities! And if you love a good Bloody Mary, then I am thinking you’ll be more than thrilled with our take on what a Bloody Mary can be and now is! But let me find out a few things about you. Do you like carrot juice? Check! Do you like moonshine? Check? And finally, do you want a cocktail that is more like a multi-course meal? Check? If you’ve answered yes to all these questions, then it’s on like hot-buttered popcorn!

The Best Bloody Mary

One of the things I love about Bloody Marys is how versatile they are! I’ve had my fair share of Bloody Marys and although I witnessed some of everything piled into a glass of boozy tomato-based goodness I haven’t seen much diversity in regards to the use of other juices. Well, I flipped the script with this one and added organic carrot juice and the visual appeal is stunning, and the taste factor is through the roof.

Okay, let’s make a cocktail!

Duo-Tone Bloody Mary

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces moonshine
  • 1  1/2 ounces carrot juice
  • 3 ounces Bloody Mary Mix
  • whole olives stuffed with habanero
  • red onion wedge
  • pickled asparagus
  • pickled okra
  • caperberries
  • green onion stalks
  • sprig of fresh cilantro

Directions:

  1. Make this cocktail directly in the glass. First, add 1 1/2 ounces of moonshine and 3 ounces of your favorite Bloody Mary mix.
  2. Then, slowly pour 1 1/2 ounces of carrot juice over the back of a bar spoon.
  3. The carrot juice is lighter than the Bloody Mary mix and will float on top.
  4. Add whatever snack items you like; I used whole olives stuffed with habanero, a wedge of red onion, pickled asparagus, pickled okra, caperberries, fresh green onion stalks, and a sprig of fresh cilantro.
  5. I added a straw and off I went to enjoy my Duo-Toned Bloody Mart and the rest of our party!

Cheers!
