Our Emerald Isle Cocktail is a well-balanced blend of apple-flavored rum, blue Curacao, sour apple liqueur, melon liqueur, and a splash of lemon-lime soda.

It is refreshingly sweet and visually stunning.

It’s not only a good cocktail idea for St. Patrick’s Day, but it can also be a spring/summer cocktail idea!

Emerald Isle Cocktail

Emerald Isle Cocktail

This is a delicious drink because it seamlessly balances many flavors into one enjoyable drink.

And it’s easy to pull together.

From start to finish, it’s ready in under five minutes.

So special equipment is needed, just a jigger and a cocktail shaker.

What You Will Need:

Apple Flavored Rum. We start this delicious cocktail punch off with a bit of apple-flavored rum. However, you can also use an infused vodka or bourbon. I especially enjoy a good apple bourbon whiskey in this recipe.

Blue Curacao is one of my favorite orange-flavored liqueurs. I love blue curacao for its ability to make almost any drink visually stunning.

Sour Apple Liqueur. Adding a bit of sourness to this drink to counter its sweetness is the perfect countermeasure. The crisp of the apple pucker is working overtime.

Melon Liqueur in this drink adds another layer of flavor and compliments the apple flavors while introducing a subtle melon taste.

Lemon-lime soda adds a bit of carbonation and helps balance the cocktail’s sweetness. Adding soda water, such as seltzer or club soda, also works well.

How can I make this into a serving for five guests?

To convert this cocktail recipe into a serving for five is as follows:

  • 5 ounces apple-flavored rum
  • 5 ounces blue curacao
  • 2 1/2 ounces sour apple pucker
  • 2 1/2 ounces melon liqueur
  • Chilled lemon-lime soda to top each serving

Can I make this into a non-alcoholic drink?

You can replace the apple-flavored rum with equal parts of a non-alcoholic rum like Spiritless or Ritual.

You can also replace the blue curacao liqueur with an alcohol-free blue curacao syrup.

Use an equal amount of Master of Mixes Sour Apple Martini Mixer instead of the sour apple pucker and add Master Of Mixes Watermelon Daiquiri Margarita Mix in lieu of the melon liqueur.

Dry shake and serve with chilled lemon-lime soda over fresh ice.
