Grinch Kabobs {Recipe}

Here’s a FUN little treat to make! I had made plans to host a How the Grinch Stole Christmas Theme party, but just ran out of time. BUT I’m planning on doing this theme next year. So I plan to buy Christmas related decorations after the big Christmas rush for 80-90% off to score the best deals!

And I plan to make these Grinch Kabobs next year! So here’s a quick and easy recipe for you guys to try. I also have a pinterest board dedicated to How the Grinch Stole Christmas Ideas that guys can check out HERE!

Get the movie out and have a little party with your family while munching on Grinch Kabobs!

What You Need For The Grinch Kabobs

Strawberries – Fresh berries that you trim the green leaf portion off. Aim for ripe berries so you get the sweetness from the fruit instead of sour.

Green Grapes – The green grape is going to mimic the face of the Grinch!

Banana – I used this for the rim of the santa hat. You could slice a marshmallow and use to replace banana if you want. But we aimed for more fruit usage.

Mini Marshmallow – Top your kabob with a mini marshmallow and you will have a fun santa hat and Grinch face ready to serve up.

Tips For Making

Plastic Toothpicks  – To make it more kid-friendly, you can buy plastic toothpicks which are safer than wooden toothpicks. Or you can fin another way to piece the items together for little kids.

Make and Serve – Since you are using bananas for the hat, you need to make and serve as the bananas will brown pretty quick. You can brush with lime juice or lemon to help the browning process.

Fruit – Have fun trying out other types of fruit if you want to change up the look of the Christmas kabobs.

Fruit Wash To Preserve Fruit

If you have not tried to do a homemade fruit was here is a great way to preserve fresh berries, grapes, etc. Add water to a large bowl and add in 3 tablespoons vinegar. This can be distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Soak for 10-15 minutes then rinse well with water to remove the vinegar.

Then you will let the fruit air dry on a towel, and then place in a proper container and store in the fridge. You can also buy fruit washes for rinsing fruit and preserving it for longer.
