Fall Cleaning Tips For High Traffic Areas

High Traffic Areas To Clean Every Day

We’re entering into the Fall season, and I’m ready for cooler weather, sweaters, and apple cider. Along with this season, change comes Fall cleaning. A few times a year, we do a deep-clean through the whole house. One tip that helps me only do this a few times per year is our daily and weekly cleaning schedule. And with the current status of our country, I’m doing more cleaning, especially the high-traffic areas. Who knew disinfectant wipes would be the hot item of 2020? As a parent and a dog mom, I’m always thinking about the products I bring into our home. When it comes to disinfectant products, I want something effective, but also safe for my family. This is why I’m excited to share with you a new product on the market, ARM & HAMMER™ Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes!

ARM & HAMMER™ Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes

ARM & HAMMER™ baking soda has been a staple in our pantry for many years, and the Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes are powered by baking soda and made with no harsh chemicals. YES!

Our Labradoodle gets into everything, so we need to use products we know are safe around our furry family member. When using Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes, I can safely wipe down the outside of his dog bowls (rinse with water) without worrying about harsh chemicals. I also use these wipes to clean his dog crate and dog toys. (Be sure the crate is dry before allowing your pet into the crate).

Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes are also safe around children, using a Citrus Based Disinfection for Pure & Simple Cleaning. As we enter into the colder months of the year, it’s going to be crucial to keep high traffic areas, including play areas, clean. I don’t have time to carry around a bottle of disinfectant and paper towels, so having disinfectant wipes readily available is the best way to clean these areas quickly.

As you start to put together your list with everything you need to clean for the Fall cleaning season, let’s focus on the high-traffic areas you should clean often. You can also print a free checklist to help you keep track of this daily high-traffic cleaning schedule.

High-Traffic areas you need to clean daily

Keep a bottle of Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes in the car. I’ve always been one to keep wipes in the car for easy cleaning. If you’re going to the store(s), have a wipe handy to wipe down the carts. I also use Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes to wipe down the door handles (inside and out) of my SUV. I also wipe down the steering wheel and other high-traffic areas in the car (controls, console, gear shift, front, and back of seats, mirror).

Doors, doorknobs, and other areas where people go in and out. With five people in our house, we’re always going in and out. While school may be at home this year, the boys are still going out to work, playing basketball at the park, and we’re going out to run errands. We have deliveries being dropped off daily, which means random people are opening our door to drop the packages off on the porch. Keep a bottle of Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes near the door for quick use.

cleaning caddy

If it helps, create a little cleaning caddy by your door. Include a container of ARM & HAMMER™ Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes, gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, and any other essentials you may need at a moment’s notice.

Things we touch several times per day. Our remotes, gaming controllers, and headsets are used several times throughout the day. And with everyone working from home, we’re using laptops and computers more often. These Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes are safe to use on your electronics. And because there are no harsh chemicals, we don’t have to worry about any damage. Just make sure you wring out any excess solution before wiping down your electronics.

Light switches, kitchen cabinet handles, kitchen sink, and door handles on the refrigerator are other high-traffic areas you should clean daily.

Personal items such as a cell phone, fitness watch, wallet, pens, and other high-use items. There are so many studies about bacteria found on cell phones; it’s gross to even think about it.

If there is one thing I have started to clean more, it’s my cell phone. When I found out the Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes are safe for electronics, I was excited to know I can easily clean my phone while on the go. Just make sure you squeeze out an excess solution before use; these wipes are safe for wiping your cell phone.

things you should be cleaning everyday

Heavily used appliances. We use several small kitchen appliances daily. We keep a container of Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes in the kitchen for a quick and safe wipe-down. Did you know Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes are also safe for wiping down your kitchen counters? And the containers are also recyclable, which is another win-win for our family.

Fall Cleaning Tips For High Traffic Areas

Don’t forget about the bathroom! We use our bathrooms several times throughout the day. Keep a container of Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes in the bathroom cabinet to quickly clean the toilet handles and sink area. If you have guests using your bathroom, having these wipes nearby is a quick way to clean the bathroom before and after their visit.

Are there other high-traffic areas I missed? If so, drop me a line, and I’ll add them to this post. If you’ve been looking for safe disinfectant products to use around your kids and pets, then give ARM & HAMMER™ Essentials™ Disinfecting Wipes a try, found in retailers nationwide.
