 Peanut Granola Clusters Recipe

I’ve talked about my Dad quite frequently on my blog. I’ve also mentioned several times throughout my blog about my Mom passing away last year. Since that day, I have developed a closer relationship with my Dad. After my Mom had passed, my Dad was a hot mess. My Mom did everything from paying the bills, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, etc. So, my Dad was at a loss on what to do. When I started grocery shopping for him, one of the must-have items on his grocery list was cereal. And not just in any cereal, it had to be Cheerios ™. And even though my Dad has taken over his grocery shopping now, he still calls me and says, “Tat, do you have any of those boxes of Cheerios ™ left?” He knows that I use coupons and always looking for deals on cereal.

You see, Cheerios™ and our family go way back! Although I am not about to divulge my exact age (what lady does that anyway?) I’ll just say when I was a kid I remember my dad giving us Cheerios™  all the time.

So for us, and like other families as well, our Cheerios™ love is a multi-generational thing. And now that I am a mother of three growing boys they too are keeping this tradition alive and well. One of our twins REALLY likes those little “oat of ohs” a lot. So I indulge his taste for Cheerios™ by making a delicious and easy-to-make treat for him.

One of his favorites is our Cheerios™ Peanut Granola Clusters. This is an easy treat they will all sneak into the kitchen to grab when I’m not looking. And it’s all right with me because over the years Cheerios™is a brand we have grown to trust. We also like them because they’re wholesome and can help lower cholesterol. My dad is 72 and Cheerios™ is still the only cereal he’ll eat. Now that’s saying something.

My dad likes the Original Cheerios™ but our family, particularly the boys love the Honey Nut Cheerios ™. We always find creative ways to make all kinds of treats with our favorite cereal.

Below is what you will need to make the Cheerios™Peanut Granola Clusters:
