Get charcoal briquettes going on the grill. When the coals are hot, add your choice of wood chips. Close the lid and allow the grill to heat up.
Wash, trim, and pat the asparagus dry.
Place the asparagus in an oven-safe skillet and add the melted butter, minced garlic, and ginger.
Using your grill mitt place the skillet with the asparagus onto the hot grate and close the lid.
Allow the asparagus to cook for six minutes or until bright green and tender.
Drizzle the asparagus with Balsamic glaze and top with Parmesan Reggiano.
