  • 2 apples peeled, cored, and diced very small (organic apples will work as well)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 scoops of vanilla ice cream about a pint

  • graham cracker crumbs whipped cream, caramel sauce, and apple slices for garnish

Instructions

First, make the caramel apple mixture:

Place a saucepan on the stove over low-medium heat.Add the apples, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stirring frequently, cook until the brown sugar has dissolved and the apples are softened. Increase the heat to medium, add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the pan, and cook, stirring constantly, until the liquid mixture resembles a thick caramel. Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside to cool completely. To make the milkshakes:

    • Add the ice cream, milk, and caramel apple mixture to the blender jar.
      Blend until just combined.
Pour into two 12 oz. glasses. Garnish with desired toppings.
      Serve apple milkshake.
