How to Make Baked Herb Salmon Recipe

Course: Breakfast
Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs filet of Salmon
  • 2 tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 3 Sprigs of Fresh Rosemary
  • 3 Sprigs of Fresh Lemon-Thyme or English Thyme
  • 3 Sprigs of Fresh Savory
  • 7 large sweet basil leaves
  • Kosher Salt to taste
  • freshly cracked black peppercorns to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Fresh salmon doesn't require rinsing. But if the salmon isn't 100% fresh, go ahead and rinse the salmon under cold water and pat dry using a paper towel.
  • Brush both sides of the salmon with extra virgin olive oil, and season with Old Bay seasoning, Kosher salt, and freshly cracked black peppercorns.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the salmon skin-side down on the top half of the herbs and the remaining herbs on top of the salmon.
  • Place the salmon on the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove from oven and use for salmon sliders.

How to make Avocado Basil Aioli

Ingredients:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil or light extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili lime seasoning
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 5 large fresh sweet basil leaves
  • sea salt to taste
  • freshly cracked black peppercorns to taste

Directions:

  1. Place the ingredients into a food processor and blend until the ingredients are combined and creamy. Set it in the fridge until you're ready to use it for the sliders.
Once you've made your homemade avocado basil aioli, cooked the salmon, and prepped all the veggies for your sliders, it's time to assemble your sliders.
Assemble by spooning the avocado aioli onto Dave's Killer Bread English muffins, adding eggs, bacon, red onion, and sliced cucumbers.
Feel free to add grape tomatoes and fresh basil to your salmon slider.
