Are you a fan of HGTV’s Fixer Upper couple, Chip & Jo? If so, you will love our Green + Black + Red Magnolia Themed Tablescape for the holidays. This table decor idea is inspired by their Hearth & Hand Magnolia Houseware line. Grab the details down below!

Magnolia Inspired Tablescape

Green + Black + Red Magnolia Themed Tablescape

I’ve been to Waco, Texas several times over the past few years for one reason, and one reason only. Magnolia Market. I fell in love with Chip and Jo after watching their show, Fixer Upper on HGTV. Over the years, Jo’s designs have inspired me. I love that her look is clean. It could be a rustic look, a modern design, or a shabby chic look; it’s always the same. I wish they could come and design my whole house, who’s with me?

But, since that’s not the case, I’m attempting to come up with a few looks, inspired by their designs and products. I’m sure y’all know that they have a whole line at Target, Hearth & Hand Magnolia, which is impressive. These designs are clean and sleek, which is another reason why I love them!

This past Christmas (2017), I decided to take a variety of their products and come up with our tablescape for Christmas dinner.

Here’s how I put it together.

I’ve mentioned before how much I love using wrapping paper on my tables, and with the beautiful Hearth & Hand wrapping paper readily available, I couldn’t resist.

Christmas Centerpiece ideas

Let’s start with the center of the table

For the center of the table, I tried not to add too much fuss. Laying down a black and white design pattern table runner, I added a piece of a green garland the width of the table. Adding fresh garland not only enhancing the smell, but it looks GREAT! Right in the middle of the table, I added a faux log with flickering candles I picked up from a local shop. On either side of the faux log, I placed off-white candles in silver candle holders picked up from IKEA several years ago. I added a metal brass horn on both ends of the table (Hobby Lobby).

Let’s set the table

  • red charger
  • green and black plaid cloth napkin (Hearth & Hand Magnolia Collection) * I alternated and used the white and black designs cloth napkin as well.
  • White Dinner Plate
  • Salad Plate
  • White Bowl
  • A sprig of greenery and a candy cane to the right of each bowl
  • Black Silverware (Hearth & Hand Magnolia Collection)
  •  Glass Goblet (Hearth & Hand Magnolia Collection)
  • Wine Glass (IKEA)

Repeat the process until you have set the entire table. I love how this turned out. I know I say that about all of my tablescapes, but this is one of my top three I’ve done over the years. Another favorite is the Winter Wonderland Blue & White party idea.

But why stop at just decorating the table? I decided to keep the fresh greenery theme going since it smells amazing! If you want an instant Christmas, woodsy smell in your house, grab some fresh greenery from your local market.

I went around the dining room, adding a few pops of greenery here and there to complete this look. I also added additional Christmas accessories picked up from various stores over the holiday seasons.

The gold clock shown here belonged to my Grandma Jane. She was the definition of Christmas, and that’s where I get my Christmas spirit. I wanted to add a little bit of “her” into my Christmas theme.

I picked up this 1, 2, 3, storage stand from Hobby Lobby a few years ago. Since it has a shabby chic look, I added it to this design and filled it with fresh greenery, pops of red berries, and a few other accessories.

Christmas Bar Cart Idea

Christmas Bar Cart

With Derrick serving drinks for our guests, we rolled out our shabby chic bar cart (Hobby Lobby) for this Magnolia tablescape.

Derrick filled it with all the essentials he would need to bartend during dinner.
