Are you prepping for a small dinner party or a holiday date night? I’m sharing a Christmas Tablescape idea for two, with a few simple things you can do to pull off an elegant holiday look. Grab the details down below.

Christmas Tablescape Idea for Two | Rae Dunn Christmas Decor

Y’all already know how much I love all things Christmas. A few weeks ago, while on a shopping trip to Home Goods and World Market, we came across this marble table, and I thought, “oh my gosh, this is GORGEOUS!” Derrick and I talked about where we could put this and how it would be perfect for shooting on (for our food photography) and to do small tablescapes.

Y’all know how much I love to have fun putting a table together, but sometimes it can be time-consuming to put together a full spread for 6-8 people all the time. This Gold And Marble Leilani Tulip Dining Table is what we needed. We paired it with a set of Tan Udder Madness Chloe Chairs and loaded it up in our SUV, and brought them home.

We recently posted a video sharing how we get holiday-ready, and this Christmas Table for two was featured in it. I’m sharing how I put it together.

How to put together a Christmas Table for two

  1. Since this is a smaller setting, I decided not to use chargers.
  2. Instead, I used Black Stoneware Plates from the Hearth & Hand Magnolia set.
  3. Next, I added a white dining plate, followed by a striped red & grey cloth napkin, topped with a white bowl.
  4. I added black silverware (also Hearth & Hand Magnolia collection) and added a set of tall Glass Goblets (Hearth & Hand Magnolia).
  5. For the centerpiece, I kept it super simple. A few years ago, I picked up this faux log with flickering candles and wreaths from a local shop.
  6. And of course, for the final touches, I had to add a little Rae Dunn! I used the mini Mr. and Mrs. Christmas mugs, along with some greenery tied with a red ribbon.

And that’s it — another super simple tablescape for you to enjoy and try yourself. I try to keep these ideas easy and quick. We love to entertain, and while I love to come up with elaborate ideas, I also love the super simple ones. Sometimes, less is more.
