Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Vinegar + White Cheddar


  • 24 Brussel Sprouts, cleaned with the ends cut off
  • 24 strips of quality thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3-4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar


  • Large cast iron skillet
  • Baker’s brush
  • Sharp chef’s knife
  • Cheese grater


Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse off the Brussel sprouts and remove the thick outer leaves and discard. Using a sharp chef’s or paring knife cut off the bottom stem of the Brussel sprouts.

  1. Brush the bottom of the skillet with two tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. Wrap each Brussel sprout with a strip of thick-cut bacon.
  3. Arrange the bacon-wrapped Brussel sprout in the skillet until you can’t fit anymore.
  4. Brush the tops of the Brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegar.
  5. Place the skillet on the middle rack of a 350 degree preheated oven.
  6. Cook for forty-five (45) minutes.
  7. After forty minutes open the oven and pull out the middle rack and top the bacon-wrapped Brussel sprouts with grated sharp white cheddar cheese.
  8. Close the oven and cook for the remaining five minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the appetizers cool until they are safe enough to handle. Transfer to a serving tray or platter.
  10. Serve.

Cranberry Green Apple Sour Cocktail


  • 1-ounce apple flavored rum
  • 1-ounce apple liqueur
  • 1-ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice
  • top with tonic water
  • lemon slices
  • whole cranberries (optional)
  • ice


  1. Fill high-ball or Collins glasses with ice.
  2. Add an ounce of apple flavored rum
  3. Pour in the apple liqueur.
  4. A splash of fresh lemon juice.
  5. Next, add the cranberry juice.
  6. Top with tonic water.
  7. Serve.
