Last weekend I decided to pull all of the Easter decorations and have some fun with the boys.
We baked Easter cake pops, made Birds Nest Cupcakes and attempted our hand at an Easter Lamb Cake. I also had some fun coming up with this Easter Table Decor Idea.
Easy Easter Table Decor Idea
And guess what? I found most of my decorations at the Dollar Tree, a thrift store and scrounging around through my decorations to pull of this look listed below.
So go raid your local Dollar Tree for some fun Easter decorations. I have been super surprised lately on how my Dollar Tree store has STEPPED up when it comes to decorations. Yes, it’s all a dollar. And yes most items are cheap.
However… if you mix them with a little high end items, you can pull of a great look.
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that I like to use gift wrapping paper for table cloths and table runners. I picked up this fun Easter-like gift wrapping paper at Home Goods for $2.99.
Roll out enough to drape a little down on each sides of the table.
Look at these FUN Easter covers for the chairs. Again… Dollar Tree. I was quite shocked that my Dollar Tree carried so many fun items. These were a buck each. I picked up 6.
They look great on my chairs ( chairs are from Ikea)
Isn’t this just the cutest?
For the table settings, I took Easter paper plates and added them to a mix of flower charger plates. I picked up the Easter plates from the Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. I’ve had the flower chargers for a few years. I picked them up from Michael’s for 50% off.
I added two different flower chargers to give this a fun mix of Easter and Spring.
For the centerpiece, I put green water beads in clear glass bottles and added bright pink (fake) hydrangeas. Again, all of these items I scored at Michael’s over time at discount prices.
When you see items on sale, definitely grab them so you can use them for future decoration ideas.
I also added other vases to give a mix for centerpieces. The other glasses are filled with easter egg and egg lollipops. All these items were picked up at the Dollar Tree. I told ya.. they have some great items!
One of my favorite items on this Easter Table Decor idea. I found these super cute easter baskets at the Thrift Store. Yes– always check your local thrift stores for great decorations and table decor ideas. I added some easter grass and easter eggs that I picked up at the Dollar Tree. The little chicks I found at my craft store- Michael’s.
This is a great item where you could name tags and use these baskets for name placements.
If you have the luxury of having side tables, don’t forget to decorate those and include them in the festivities.
For this look, I just added a few quick items. One- our lamb cake that we made. Basically we use a Wilton Lamb Cake pan and followed the directions. Here’s a look at the final product (just used strawberry box cake)
We also had fun decorating our side buffet too:
We added quite a few fun Easter items. If we were planning a party with guests, all of these items would have been great party favors. Again.. Dollar Tree!
These fairy pens I’ve had for quite a while. I picked them up from Target a few months ago for 50% off. Paying just .50 cents per pen!
Fun colored straws are also GREAT to add to any table decor idea. Plus they are usable!
Now these bunny sunglasses are just WAY too cool! Again, Dollar Tree! Great party favor to give away to your guests!
We also had fun creating and putting together this awesome Easter Egg Centerpiece. You can see the breakdown and how to create your own here- Easter Egg Centerpiece
Now..we put it all together and this is what we get:
The boys had a great time and enjoyed their dinner that night. They enjoyed being silly and eating a ton of desserts– a high on life!
Here’s the twins- Ziah and Zion
And we can’t forget about Zayd’n:
