A cold glass of homemade lemonade is the perfect way to enjoy your day.

However, let’s kick it up a notch by adding a little vodka, lemon, and cucumber to make a refreshingly frosty cold summer cocktail.

This Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade Vodka Cocktail is great for summer entertainment or when you need something cool and refreshing to sip on to help you wind down.

Cool and Frosty Cucumber Lemonade

Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade Vodka Cocktail

Who wants a frosty, cold glass of refreshing Lemon and cucumber Lemonade?

I mean, if you think regular lemonade is the be-all and end-all of summertime beverages, then I beg of you to reconsider.

Our version of this classic summer staple elevates the refreshment game. Two ingredients are all you need to add.

Reyka vodka and just-picked, extra-fresh sliced cucumbers. That’s it? Yes, that’s it.

But if you don’t want the vodka, that’s okay. The cucumbers’ addition to the sweet and lemony sour is a surprisingly delicious combination.

Get the recipe down below, and here’s to a great summer. Cheers!

Lemonade Vodka cocktail

Lemon & Cucumber Lemonade (1 Quart)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Cucumbers, sliced thin
  • 2 Lemons, sliced
  • 4 – 6 Tbsp Pre-Sweetened Lemonade (or homemade lemonade)
  • 3 – 4 ounces Reyka Vodka (or vodka of your choice, adjust to taste)
  • Crushed ice (or cubed, your preference)
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Cool and Refreshing Lemonade recipe

Directions:

  1. Make the Lemonade: Combine 4 – 6 tablespoons of pre-sweetened lemonade or your homemade lemonade base in a large pitcher. Add water to fill the pitcher about 3/4 full, leaving room for ice and the cucumber and lemon slices.
  2. Prepare the Drink: Add the sliced cucumbers and lemons to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add the Vodka: Pour in 3 – 4 ounces of Reyka Vodka (or your choice) and mix well. Taste and adjust the vodka to your desired strength.
  4. Chill: Add crushed or cubed ice to the pitcher, adjusting the amount based on your preference for chill and dilution.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig, and serve immediately.

Can I Double The Recipe

Go ahead and make a larger batch of this cocktail if you want.

This makes a quart, but you are welcome to make a double or even triple batch.

Don’t add ice until you are ready to serve. Otherwise, the ice will melt the drink.

How to Make This Non-Alcoholic

Leave out the vodka. Replace the vodka with lemon lime soda or bubbly water for a fizzy twist.

This will give the lemonade a bit of a twist!

Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.

Can I Make This Recipe With Pink Lemonade

Yes, go right ahead and use pink lemonade instead of plain.

Even a raspberry or strawberry-flavored lemonade would be a delicious pairing with the cucumbers and vodka.

Can I Do A Limeade Instead of Lemonade

So, if you want to grab some limeade, swap out the lemon portions for limeade and garnish with limes instead of lemon wedges.

This is a wonderful swap that will give you a tart and sweet flavor that is still thirst-quenching.

Storing Leftovers

If you do not drink all of this lemonade cocktail, it can be stored in the fridge overnight.

I run the mixture through a strainer or colander to remove the ice, and then I store it in the fridge.

Removing the ice helps prevent it from watering down.

Believe or not I just made this even better! How? Well, instead of using water to make the lemonade I used ginger beer! Yep! Sure did! Thank you for dropping in, much appreciated.
