Two Summer Recipes Using Fresh Brats and Mild Italian Sausage

There is something kinda boring about the run of the mill baked beans; I mean even when they’re good, they’re mostly mediocre. However, I got the remedy and the cure to upgrade bland and boring baked beans. I will say this, when done right, made-from-scratch baked beans can be pretty amazing. And I’m going to show you how to dress up canned baked beans and make them over-the-top delicious. We have partnered with Hillshire Farm brand to introduce Hillshire Farm® Fresh Mild Italian Sausage and Hillshire Farm®  Fresh Original Bratwurst, purchased from Walmart. Both are made with 100% natural pork and are fresh, never frozen. And when you’re serving up food to your friends and guests, fresh is always best! Let’s make some good food!

Make your own Savory Philly Cheesy Sausage

Check out our Savory Philly Cheesy Sausage with grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and fresh jalapeños served on garlic-rubbed toasted buns. We think these babies pair well with our Loaded Baked Beans + Brats don’t you? And our version of a Philly brat is made with Hillshire Farm Fresh Mild Italian Sausage. I mean we take the Philly brat to new and awesomely delicious heights. We did good, didn’t we? I think so! And when the sausages were almost done, we loaded them with three kinds of cheese and finished them with a short stay in the oven for a few seconds on high broil.

When these sausages came out of the oven, they were a sight to behold! Look at all that melted cheese, and the toasted buns are to die for!

Are you ready to dig in and enjoy these delicious summertime recipes made with Hillshire Farm Fresh Mild Italian Sausage and Hillshire Farm Fresh Original Bratwurst? You can find them at your local neighborhood, Walmart, in the fresh meat section. And while you are there, you can also pick up all of the ingredients to put together both of these wonderful, delicious, and easy recipes.

One sure fire way to bring out the best of grilled brats is to add lots of grilled, sautéed or fresh veggies! And because there are so many different types of vegetables, it’s fun playing around with different flavors. I also love that the onions and peppers worked well in both of these recipes.
