Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail

Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail

This refreshing orange tequila cocktail calls for fresh-squeezed orange juice, Tequila, and a little bit of jigger.

Plus, with fresh rosemary pulled from the garden as a garnish, ah, perfect!

Get the recipe below and try making our Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail this weekend.

It’s a great summer drink idea, perfect for one or many!

Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail

What is A Jigger

The word Jigger is an English term. Jigger means good measure, so you are going to create a mixture of tequila, orange or citrus bitters, orange juice, and more.

Don’t forget the Seville Orange jigger for good measure to create the perfect cocktail.

This is my go-to tequila orange juice recipe that is loaded with a kick of flavor and citrus flavor.

Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail

Tequila Orange Jigger Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 serving

  • 1 1/2 ounces Tequila (we’re using 1800 Tequila Silver)
  • 2 dashes of orange or citrus bitters
  • 1-ounce fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 2 1/2 ounces Fentiman’s Mandarin and Seville Orange Jigger
  • Orange slices and fresh rosemary for garnish
  • Ice

Directions:

  1. Build this cocktail in a cocktail mixing glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice, then add tequila, orange or citrus bitters, orange juice, and Fentiman’s Mandarin, and Seville Orange Jigger.
  3. Stir with a long-handled bar spoon vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a standard rock glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with orange slices and a sprig of rosemary.

Serve. And, of course, cheers!

Drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.

Best Tequila to Use With Jiggers

I highly recommend using 1800 Tequila Silver!

It offers that smooth blending with the other ingredients.

It is our must-have tequila for making exceptional restaurant-quality cocktails at home.

Measurements of a jigger

A jigger is a unit of measurement when it comes to making cocktails.

If you see a recipe that calls for a jigger, then you will do a 1.5 oz shot glass of the ingredient it is calling for.

All shot glasses vary in size.

But a standard shot of 1.5, or you will see the word jigger.

What mixes well with tequila?

Orange juice and citrus bitters, grapefruit juice, and pineapple juice are all great contenders.

You can also swap the juice with any of these to change up this cocktail flavor a bit.

Feel free to experiment and let me know what you prefer in terms of flavor.

Can I make this tequila orange jiggers cocktail ahead of time?

It is best to make this drink as you plan to serve it. The ingredients can separate a bit as it sits in the fridge.

Plus, you will get optimal flavor when you mix it in together, pour, and then serve right away!
