Question. Have you thought about the summer cocktails you’ll be serving this summer?

You’ll want to have a few ready-to-go recipes on standby and all the ingredients you will need on hand to pull them off.

Well, if you haven’t, let’s fix that little oversight right here and now.

I’ve been a busy bee as of late, spending lots of time in The Lab doing lots of valuable “research,” doing what any credible part-time mixologist loves to do, and that’s refining my craft and expanding my drink-making knowledge.

The Best Bourbon under $50

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s decide on a bourbon.

For this delightful cocktail creation, I selected Wilderness Trail.

This is a tough act to follow, and I’m lucky to get my hands on a bottle.

Its scarcity is well-known, and after cracking the bottle open and pouring a dram over ice, it’s easy to see what all of the scuttlebutt is about.

This is one who scored a respectable 92 Whiskey Castrating, beating out a score of 90 from the legendary 15-year-old Pappy Van Winkle.

Definitely, something to write home about.

The Best Watermelon Cocktails

This cocktail is built right in the glass and given a slight finishing swirl, just barely mending the layers of flavor.

You will discover and experience all of the layered flavors sip by sip!

The Best Bourbon Cocktails

This cocktail starts with a healthy ounce and a half of Wilderness Trail bourbon over shards of quality ice, followed by an ounce of each homemade watermelon simple syrup and watermelon pucker.

Next, it’s topped off with citrus tonic water, giving it a slight swirl.

This delicious cocktail is garnished with a wedge of fresh watermelon and served with a straw. Cheers!

The Best Bourbon Drinks

This is a perfect summer cocktail with lots of character and plenty of summertime flavor.
