Wooster: St. Paul Hotel {luxury in a small town}
I recently traveled to Wooster, Ohio and were able to stay at the St.Paul Hotel during my trip. Wooster is quite small compared to its neighboring towns, so, I was pleasantly surprised to see such an upscale boutique style hotel in the downtown area. St.Paul is a beautiful, contemporary hotel.
The furnishings themselves are sleek, modern and completely inviting to guests who stay at the hotel. The beds, dressers, and desks that are incorporated into each room are made by the Schantz Organ Company who are stationed in Orrville, and the St.Paul Hotel is the first project they undertook towards expanding their company into a custom woodworking business. Each piece is made of elegant black walnut and create an air of elegance.
The bathrooms were one of my favorite parts, aside from the super comfortable beds. Done in gorgeous Italian tile, each bathroom is luxurious and everything you could ever want. It even has heated flooring to ward off the chill during the winter months, which was a plus for us because Wooster was pretty chilly during our visit.
The showers were fabulous, with three different water sources to choose from: a rain forest shower head, a wall mount, and hand-held wand. Each shower is encased in a tempered glass made by the Wooster Glass Company.
Overall our stay was wonderful. The staff was wonderful and friendly, willing to help with anything we asked for and we were also able to enjoy a free complimentary breakfast that included delicious muffins and coffee, a perfect way to start another day in Wooster. In addition to being a fantastic place to stay during this time of the year, St. Paul is also close to several local attractions that you can visit during your stay, like Blue Spruce Boutique, Wayne County Public Library, Secrest Arboretum & Gardens, and Troutman Vineyards.
