Inside Out Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • Inside Out Cupcakes
  • Cupcake Ingredients:
  • 2 C flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C sweet cream
  • 1/2 C whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Purple red, green and yellow gel food colors

Instructions

Cupcake Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare the cupcake pan with paper liners.
  • Combine flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl
  • Add sweet cream and sugar in mixing bowl.
  • Beat until light and creamy.
  • Continue to beat.
  • Add one egg at a time to the sugar and sweet cream mixture.
  • Add vanilla extract.
  • Alternatively add flour mixture and then milk.
  • Begin with flour mixture and end with flour mixture.
  • Divide prepared batter into 4 bowls.
  • Add 5 drops of food coloring in each bowl.
  • First bowl... add green food coloring.
  • Second bowl....add purple food coloring.
  • Third bowl.....add red food coloring.
  • Fourth bowl.... add yellow food coloring
  • Stir all 4 bowls one at a time to ensure correct level of color.
  • Starting with the green batter...add 1 spoonful to the bottom of the lined cupcake tin.
  • Add 1 spoonful of the purple batter on top of the green batter in the lined cupcake tin.
  • Add 1 spoonful of red batter on top of the purple batter in the lined cupcake tin.
  • Add 1 spoonful of yellow batter on top of the red batter in the lined cupcake tin.
  • Fill cupcakes 3/4 full.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let sit in the cupcake pan to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from pan allowing to completely cool.
