Kicked Up Buffalo Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds of chicken wings split with the wing tips removed
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 stick melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chili lime seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon crushed Aleppo pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon sea salt or Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Prep the chicken wings by rinsing and patting them dry, using a large butcher knife, divide the chicken wing at the joint, also remove the tip of the chicken wing and discard. 
  • Using a small bowl combine the chili lime seasoning, crushed Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes, sea salt, and freshly cracked black peppercorns, mix well.
  • Into a small saucepan melt butter over med-low heat; when the butter is melted, add the extra virgin olive oil. 
  • Arrange the chicken wings on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, brush the chicken wings with the melted butter and olive oil mixture and sprinkle liberally with the seasoning mixture, turn the wings over and repeat. 
  • Place the wings on the center rack of  400 degrees preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and brush them with your favorite Buffalo sauce.
  • Serve.
