  • 1 stick of quality unsalted butter
  • 6-8 large cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp honey (you can also use pure maple or agave syrup)
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 2 tbsps of fresh lemon juice optional
  • pinch of kosher salt; just before serving use a finishing salt

Instructions

  • Remove the green beans from the package and rinse. Cut the stem end off of the greens and beans and set aside.

  • Transfer the green beans using a slotted spoon into a large bowl filled with iced water. Thoroughly cool the green beans, drain, and place in a bowl.
  • Set the bowl in the fridge or an airtight container for up to two days.
  • To make the honey garlic butter sauce, place a large skillet over medium heat, melt one stick of unsalted butter, and add 6-8 cloves of minced garlic and the juice of one lemon, stirring consistently for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the white wine and honey and continue stirring for 2 minutes.
  • In a separate skillet over med-high heat, add 2 tbsps of evoo; when the oil is hot, add the cooked French Green Beans and heat them through.
  • Transfer the beans to a serving bowl and spoon the honey garlic butter sauce over the green beans.
