Ingredients for Peppermint Mocha, 1 quart jar

  • 1 Cup of Sugar
  • 1 Cup of Peppermint Mocha Cocoa
  • 1 Cup of Dry Milk
  • 1/2 Cup of Chocolate Mini Chips
  • 1/2 Cup of Crushed Peppermint
  • 1/2 Cup of small or mini Marshmallows

Instructions

  • Make sure your jar is clean.
  • Add dry milk.
  • Add peppermint mocha cocoa.
  • Next, add sugar.
  • Then add the chocolate chunk chips or mini chips.
  • Add your mini marshmallows. I picked up pink marshmallows from Trader Joe's.
  • Finally, add crushed peppermint.
  • Seal with an airtight lid.
  • Print or write out the directions and attach them to the jar with a ribbon.
  • Before placing the lid on top, tie the Christmas ribbon around the entrance of the jar, followed by the red & white pipe cleaner.
  • Before I tucked the ends of the pipe cleaner around the ribbon, I slipped on the gift tag and peppermint assortment.

Notes

Supplies needed for your Gift In A Jar:
16-oz Mason Jar or one-quart Mason Jar
Christmas Ribbon or twine
Assorted red & white or other festive color decorations
One Red & White Pipe Cleaner
Gift tags (you can make one or purchase from a craft store or home decor store)
Written instructions
Optional: assorted holiday decor to jazz up your jar
Gift bag (if giving as a gift)
Pro-tip: We prefer to use milk to make our hot cocoa vs water. You can tell the difference. If you make your hot cocoa this way, leave the dry milk out.
Then, when you're making the peppermint mocha hot chocolate, use milk instead of water.
