Strawberry Salsa with Tomatoes
We’re sharing our easy fruit salsa recipe made with fresh strawberries. This sweet and flavorful appetizer is perfect for spring brunches, summer cookouts and more. It’s packed with sweet, spicy and tangy flavors and comes together so easy!
Servings: 7
- 4 cups ripe North Bay Produce strawberries hulled and chopped
- 1 medium red or Spanish onion finely diced
- 1/2 cup of red bell pepper
- 1 –2 medium jalapeño or serrano peppers seeded and thinly sliced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves chopped
- 2 limes juiced
- 2 1/4 teaspoons taco seasoning *this can be optional
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- Sea salt or kosher salt to taste
- drizzle of honey
- Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to taste
Combine the chopped strawberries, onion, jalapeño or serrano, cherry tomatoes, and cilantro in a large mixing bowl.
Add the lime juice, taco seasoning, balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Drizzle with honey and olive oil.
Gently toss everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Let the salsa sit for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve with tortilla chips or spoon over grilled chicken, fish, or tacos.
