Our Lobos Tequila Pink Bubbly Cocktail is just what you need to serve on New Year’s Eve.

We agreed on serving up a mixed drink that was equal parts traditional with a bit of whimsy, with flavors that were eye-catching and represented good fortune—all this and good tasting to boot.

This cocktail checks off all of the boxes; it’s a cocktail you will be happy to ring in the new year with all year long. Cheers!

This post is sponsored by Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal. All opinions are my own.

Lobos Tequila Pink Bubbly Cocktail

Pink Bubbly Cocktail

We love a good cocktail, and we think we nailed it when creating a cocktail that says a lot about how it tastes and what it represents when scrolling down the ingredients list.

Lobos 1707 Tequila

We begin this cocktail with Lobos 1707 Tequila, Joven.

Lobos 1707 Tequila is all about Legacy, Love, Lobos. But there’s more to this quality tequila than its cool bottle.

For some, the name Joven, regarding tequila, may be unfamiliar. Joven tequila is one of the five different tequila types—Joven is a blend of young and old tequila (Blanco and Resposado).

This tequila uses the highly coveted and exceptional Pedro Ximenez barrels for its aged expressions. Note, some of the world’s finest spirits are aged to perfection in these same barrels.

And if you love good tequila as much as I do, Lobos 1707 tequila is carbon-filtered, additive-free, and produced using only 100% Blue Weber agave.

What You Will Need To Make Our Lobos Tequila Pink Bubbly Cocktail

Tequila. For this recipe, we’re using Lobos 1707 Tequila. Its clean and smooth taste is the perfect base in which we have built a cocktail that is both delicious and eye-catching.

Orange Juice & Pineapple Juice. Here, the OJ represents good luck, and the pineapple juice lends a bit of exotic tropical sweetness.

Together they are deliciously formidable and no less so in the making of this easy and yummy cocktail concoction.

Pomegranate Grenadine. You guessed right if you think this is another flavor that signals good luck and good fortune when it comes to ringing in the new year.

Around the globe, the pomegranate is symbolic of good luck and rebirth. In this recipe, we make good use of pomegranate grenadine; its slightly sour sweetness pairs well with the tequila, orange juice, and pineapple juice, and if we stopped the recipe right here, we’ve already crafted quite a fetching cocktail if I do say so myself.

Champagne. There is more than one way to serve up champagne during New Year’s Day, and we’re popping all the bottles over this way!

Maybe not all of the bottles but at least one to top off our Tequila Pink Bubbly Cocktail and give it its fizziness characteristic of its namesake.

Pineapple & Stemmed Cherry. We have kept the garnishes for this cocktail easy with pineapple chunks and stemmed cherries.

We threaded them onto a long cocktail stick and placed it gently into our cocktail for a beautiful touch that just so happens to taste great too! Cheers!

pink bubbly punch idea

Absolutely: here’s the recipe

  • 2 1/3. c of Lobos 1707 Tequila
  • 2 3/4 c of no-pulp orange juice
  • 1/2 c of cherry liqueur *optional, but it makes this cocktail extra special

  • for this cocktail recipe; the champagne is reserved for topping off each individual serving glass.
  • Stemmed cherries and pineapple chunks for garnish.

Ladle into serving glasses but leave enough room to add 2 ounces of champagne. Garnish with stemmed cherries and pineapple chunks threaded on a cocktail stick. Serve.

where to buy lobos 1707

Where can I buy Lobos 1707?

We found Lobos 1707 Tequila at Meijer. Check your Meijer stores or head to their website to find places to purchase online.

What can I use instead of grenadine?

Almost any red berry syrup will do. I recommend cherry syrup, but raspberry or strawberry cocktail syrups work well too.

What if I don’t have Joven or Blanco tequila?

If you don’t have Joven or Blanco tequila, you can use a Reposado, Añejo, or Extra Añejo. *note these tequilas are aged longer than Joven and Blanco and have more robust flavors.

pouring champagne into glasses

I don’t have champagne, what else can I use?

You can easily substitute champagne for a good Cava that hails from Spain and are less dry than northern Bruts. Espumonte is a good choice, especially varieties from Portugal and Argentina.

French Crémants are excellent but are similar to champagnes. Moscato is perfect but notably much sweeter than champagne. A Pétillant Naturel is less bubbly. Prosecco is champagne’s Italian cousin.
