Where to buy sparkling hibiscus red grape juice?

A few ideas on using sparkling hibiscus red grape juice in this drink.

This recipe can be used to make hibiscus red grape juice. Alternatively, you can use alternatives, such as Welch’s® Sparkling Red Grape Non-Alcoholic, which can be found at any local grocery store.

The specific sparkling hibiscus red grape juice we used is no longer available. We recommend using the alternative option listed above and a 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce of hibiscus syrup.

You can find hibiscus syrup online or at Home Goods, TJMaxx, and World Market stores.

So I have a “challenge” for you, although I’m sure it’s not a challenge at all (except to me). My husband and I are only social and occasional drinkers. We have recently joined a camping club and they’re definitely a bunch of “partiers”. One “event” that they have on every trip is what they describe as a bar crawl, but instead going from camper to camper. The owners of the campers “job” is to serve up a sampling of an appetizer and a drink to everyone that comes by. It’s always a good time, but this far we have only participated in providing the appetizer part, as again we aren’t big drinkers. Often times people have Jell-O shots and we’ll partake in those too. our next camping trip is valentines week and my husband and I would like to finally participate in offering alcohol. We love fruity drinks and this looks so fitting for the holiday. Here’s my dilemma. There are often kids at this “crawl” too, so we either exclude the kids from our table or we provide something for them too. Since we are one of the families that have kids, we’d like to provide for them too.

    1. is this drink easily adaptable to add some sort of alcohol to so we can have two versions (the kids and the adults) and
    2. everything I read says to shake up the drinks right beforehand as to not have them being watered down from the ice. With so many people passing by our table to grab a drink I don’t really want to be shaking for 30 minutes straight (shake and pour, shake and pour, shake and pour)and having people wait on their drinks. There will be other tables nearby that will prob have something ready made to go. Is there a way. I could make these (or maybe another recipe you have in mind) somewhat in advance and not have them get watered down. Each camper only needs to sit at their spot for 30 minutes or so, to allow people to stop by, grab something, and chit chat. After that, that owner gets to “close up shop” and head on to the other open tables, if that makes sense.
    3. thanks so much in advance for your help and suggestions

Hello Audrey-the good thing about this recipe is that it can made in advance without the ice to avoid the drink getting watered down as the ice melts. And as far as making it an alcoholic cocktail just add 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of your preferred spirit. I have used Smirnoff’s Red, White, and Berry in this recipe and it is a perfect fit. I also highly recommend using Wild Turkey Honey Whiskey in this recipe if your crew our fans of whiskey cocktails. I hope this helps. Let me know.

Yes, you can make this a few hours before needing to use it, or the night before. Just don’t add the ice until you’re ready to serve it!
