Best Playlist for A Summer Cookout

Summertime means fun in the summer, outdoor entertainment, vacations and time spent with family. One of the things we love to do during the summer months is open up our deck, get out the grill and invite friends and family over for a summer cookout.

A summer cookout is not complete without a playlist. I’ve mentioned numerous times when you are prepping to host a party; music is a huge key to the flow and mood of the party. And when you’re hosting an outdoor party, this gives you the opportunity to set up speakers and crank up the music (but not too loud or the neighbors may complain).

Equipment needed for a summer playlist

In order to play this awesome list at your summer cookout, you need to invest in a portable speaker. Music is a huge part of our entertainment strategy and having a speaker with stunning clarity, and a deep, heart-pounding bass is important to bringing our party to live. This is exactly what you will get when you purchase Ultimate Ears MEGABLAST. Not only are you getting a great speaker, but it also has the hands-free Amazon Alexa built-in.

We are usually busy manning the grill, setting the table, or running to get more food for our guests, so being able just to say, “Alexa, play my summer cookout or play next song” is very helpful. Derrick uses Spotify to make all of our playlists, and we can easily connect it with our Alexa, making this speaker and a win-win!

The Ultimate Ears comes with a Bluetooth range of 150 ft and a WiFi connection range of 330 ft.

With up to 16 hours of battery life, you will be able to play this entire summer cookout playlist I’ve listed below. It will also play and charge the speaker simultaneously using the optional cradle or included wall charger.

Another speaker option to consider is the Ultimate Ears BLAST. It has a 360° intensely rich sound, great clarity and deep, heart-pounding bass. It’s also water-resistant so that it will be safe for a summer pool party.

An option coming out later this year will allow you to group up to MEGABLAST and BLAST speakers on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which will only enhance the music experience.
