Benefits Of Drinking Water + Creative Ways I Drink More Water

We should all drink our daily dose of water for many reasons. I’m sharing ten benefits and creative ways to drink more water.

According to experts, we’re supposed to drink about half of our body weight in water, so finding creative ways and the will to drink that much water daily is overwhelming.

Here are ten benefits of drinking water:

  • I get major migraine headaches. Drinking water daily can help eliminate headaches. Did you know that a lot of headaches are caused by dehydration? 
  • Another great benefit is that it will help prevent kidney stones and infections.

  • I’ve been working on becoming healthier this year and losing weight. I can accomplish this task by drinking water, which is a win-win! 
  • You can improve your skin complexion by drinking your daily dose of water. 
  • Boost your immune system. 
  • You can flush out those nasty toxins. 
  • You can help relieve fatigue. 
  • Saves you money! Instead of buying a ton of soda, juice, and other beverages, drink water.  
  • Helps decrease the need to snack on unnecessary sugar and high-carb snacks. 

Simple ways to drink more water with fresh fruit and water

Buy a Brita® Pitcher and get the most bang for your buck.

We’ve been using a Brita® Pitcher for the past year, and I’ve noticed a considerable decrease in our food budget.

With Brita®, it filters out all the unnecessary bad things found in the faucet or even bottled water.

If the water in your home has too many minerals or has a high Sulfur content, your water smells horrible and tastes even worse.

You can buy many filters to remove the bad smell and taste. There are filters for your faucet and filters you can pour the water into and then put into your refrigerator. 

Find creative benefits to drinking water.

When we brought home our first Brita® a few years ago, I noticed an uptick in the water consumption with my boys.

And to my surprise, our boys have water bottles, and they constantly keep them filled throughout the day.

But they do this because I’ve made it as easy as going to the fridge and grabbing our Brita® Pitcher.

Fewer water bottles, less plastic waste, and healthier kids.

As my youngest son says, “Brita® is life!”

Simple ways to drink more water

 

Creative Ways I Drink More Water.

I like to drink from a straw. If drinking water from a cup or a bottle sounds bland, you’re not alone. I can’t drink water out of a cup.

I don’t know why it sounds weird, but it’s true. I have to use a straw. I use a 16 oz glass, so I know I have to drink at least four of these glasses per day. {Pro-Tip: This is a GREAT way to keep track of how much water you need to drink daily.}

Ice, Ice Baby- Another way I drink water is to fill a cup with ice. I have a serious crush on ice.

I will fill our ice trays with my Brita® Pitcher to purify my water.

Infuse It! Fruit is a great way to take your water to the next level.

Some of the fruits you can use take a little longer to infuse into the water, but if you use watermelon, lime, or lemon, all you have to do is add it to your water and shake.

Other great infusions: Apple Cinnamon, Cucumber, Cucumber Melon, Cherry and Lime, Strawberry Kiwi.  

Snack attack. Another creative way is to have a few snacks throughout the day.

I like to eat granola bars, salted peanuts, and other snacks that will make me thirsty. I can use the Glad® small storage containers to put in portion-controlled snacks. 

This is all about changing your drinking habits.

There’s nothing worse than finding a great healthy way to eat and then killing it by drinking a soda.

By using a Brita® Pitcher, not only are you getting purified water, but you’re saving a ton of money in the long run.

    At the airport gate, on my way back to the U.S. (from Africa), the second security check confiscated the 3 liters of water I had just purchased in the main terminal. I cried. Literally, I cried. Clearly, the security agent didn’t understand exactly how much water I consume on a 17 hour flight (about 6 liters actually!). Water has always been my drink of choice. It just makes me feel good. I tell my clients to drink water if they have a craving, a headache, are constipated, hungry, etc. Water is so beneficial, so easy, so free yet so easily overlooked. It’s really a no brainer (actually your brain is 90% water!!!). Your body is about 70% water, the majority of your blood and every cell in your body is composed of water. Therefore, you need water to function properly.
