These cookies are so fun to make and perfect for a holiday, a class treat, or just something fun to do with the kids.

Can You Make Cookies In the Air Fryer

Whether you have an air fryer basket or tray style, you can indeed make cookies in your air fryer.

This is a fun and simple process to do. Just grab some parchment paper and cookie supplies and get to baking.

What You Will Need

Butter. I used unsalted butter for this cookie recipe. If you opt for salted butter, omit the salt in the recipe portion.

Sugar. Granulated and brown sugar help to bring these cookies sweetness, soft, delicious flavor.

Basic Cookie Ingredients. Baking soda, egg, vanilla, and flour are your classic base for the cookies.

M&Ms and Chocolate Chips. I used mini M&M’s and mini chocolate chips. Feel free to reach for Reese’s Pieces and peanut butter chips to alter the cookies’ flavor.

Do I Need To Refrigerate Cookie Dough Before Baking?

You do not need to refrigerate the dough in this particular cookie recipe first.

Whip up the cookie batter, grab a cookie scoop, and cook as directed in your air fryer.

Can I Bake these Cookies In The Oven?

Don’t want to bake in the air fryer? You can make these cookie monster cookies in the oven.

Just grease and prep your baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Then bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are cooked.

Then, transfer over to a cooling rack to set up and cool down.

Expert Tips For Making Air Fryer Cookies

  • Parchment paper is a must, or the cookie dough will melt into the cooking trays, making a mess.
  • Make sure that you leave space between each cookie. The monster cookies will expand as they begin to bake.
  • Watch the cooking time and use it as a guide. All air fryers cook slightly differently, so you don’t want to overcook the cookies.
  • Place your cookies on a cooling rack once you remove them from the air fryer. Do a single layer; otherwise, they can stick together.

Storing Cookie Monster Cookies

Store your cookies in an airtight container or sealable bag for around one week.

Or you can freeze any cookies you don’t plan to eat immediately.

Place in a freezer container and freeze for 3-4 months.

Then thaw on the counter or place in the fridge overnight.

The cookies will dry out a bit as they sit out, so if you don’t plan to eat them right away, I recommend freezing any leftover cookies.
