We’ve taken our love for peppermint and created the Perfect Christmas Peppermint Shake Cocktail. So good, you’ll be back for another round. This peppermint shake cocktail recipe is ice cream, liquor, and sweet minty flavor all in one. A must make Christmas drink.

Here's the perfect Christmas Cocktail and great peppermint recipe- Strawberry Actually: Perfect Christmas Shake Cocktail

Perfect Christmas Peppermint Shake Cocktail

Our Strawberry Actually gets its name from the not so impressive movie Love Actually (2003). And although the film was given many rotten tomatoes, our strawberry and vanilla ice cream infused with shards of crushed candy cane then topped with Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark is all Yule Tide and Noel.

We’re talking rich ice cream flavors here and perfectly paired with the number one Christmas flavor of all time. Peppermint! Check out the recipe video below!

Christmas Peppermint Cocktail Shake

This flute full of deliciousness screams Merry Christmas! And it’ll pretty much guarantee to turn the dour-faced Ebenezer Scrooges and churlish Grinches of the world into clones of the most famous and cheerful elf of them all, Buddy!

So let’s break out the ice cream scoop and raid the bar because it is time for the perfect Christmas shake cocktail ever! The Christmas Peppermint Cocktail Shake. Cheers!

What Do You Need For Peppermint Shake Cocktail

Ice Cream – We use vanilla and strawberry Häagen-Dazs for the base of the shake portion of this cocktail recipe. Trust me, it works so well together.

Smirnoff Peppermint Twist – If you can’t find this you could use a peppermint schnapps or even a plain vodka. You will be adding other minty elements so it won’t take away much if you use plain vodka.

Mint Syrup – So we used 1/2 teaspoon if you taste your shake cocktail and think you want it more minty, then go right ahead and add a splash more. Just know mint syrup can be pretty strong.

Peppermint Bark and Candy Cane – I used both in terms of adding more texture and decoration to the shake. It is so refreshing to have the white chocolate mint from the bark and crunch from the candy canes.

Can I Double This Recipe

Go right ahead and make a double or even quadruple recipe to fit your liking. This recipe below is for one champagne flute shake. If you are wanting to share the cocktail just make a larger batch.

The biggest thing is making sure all the ingredients fit in your mixer. If you need to batch mix, if you are serving for a larger crowd.

What If I Don’t Have A Blender

So you have two options. You can add items to a food processor and pulse lightly to get it blended. Or you can pour the item into a sturdy cup and mix it up with a spoon. Now, this method is going to require more mixing but it can be done. Just slowly work on mashing up the ice cream until it forms a creamy shake consistency.

Does This Shake Store Well

This peppermint cocktail should be made to serve. You will find it does not store well leftover. If you happen to not drink it all you can pour into a freezer container and freeze. But it will have a thicker harder texture once you remove it.

Hi Nicole- this is for 1 serving. If you plan to serve this to several people, you just need to double or triple the recipe (depending on how many people are you serving). Hope that helps!
