This S’more with REESE’S will leave you drooling and running to the kitchen to make your own REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup S’more Sundae.
REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup S’more Sundae
You know you’ve got a good thing going when it’s versatile enough to pair with Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring. Like most families, we’ve got a long and storied history when it comes to sweets. And with our boys, sweets are a little extra special because they are only reserved for special occasions like birthdays, holidays or when they bring home parent pleasing report cards. Right now we’re smack dab in the middle of Summer. And those unbearable days when the thermostat has lost its mind we all know something cold and delicious is the only coping mechanism. Recently on a sweltering day in July, I made two frozen treats and one cookie treat to satisfy our sweet tooth cravings. And yes, the ice cream treats were a great way to combat the hot and the humid days of summer.
Here’s what I did and how I did it.
REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup S’more Sundae:
- 2 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 Graham Crackers
- 2 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- 2-3 Marshmallows
- 1-2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1-2 Tablespoons Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup
You can’t go wrong with S’mores. so building a REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup S’more Sundae is like a Noble Prize winning endeavor. I like this recipe simply because it combines two of my favorite things; REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups and S’mores. But before I get to the REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup lets start with the Graham Crackers. For this easy recipe I wanted to add a little something extra to the Graham crackers. So, I took out a non-stick skillet and set it over medium heat, I added a tablespoon of butter and let it completely melt. I made my Graham crackers and broke them along the perforated lines. Then I toasted the Graham crackers in butter, make sure not to let them get charred. Burnt anything isn’t the flavor you want in a sundae. After they are toasted, I set them aside. Next, I placed on the tip of a wooden spike (the kind used for making kabobs) two marshmallows and over the eye of the stove-top I browned the marshmallows until golden, then sat those aside as well. Finally we get to the good part, take two REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups and slice them into small pieces and set them aside too.
Putting it all together:
In a small sundae glass put two scoops of vanilla ice cream, next add the Graham crackers and marshmallows, then put the chunks of REESE’S on top. Then drizzle Hersey’s Chocolate Syrup over the top. Now you’re ready to dig right in.
