What are the best tips for trick or treating?
While you can’t be totally prepared for everything, there are a few things to keep in mind for trick-or-treating fun.
First, be sure that the kids are aware of stranger danger and that they should not eat any of the food or candy until they get home.
Then, make it fun to look through all the pieces together. If there is anything at that point that you don’t want them to have or eat, you can easily remove it during the process and explain why.
Secondly, talk to the kids about being traffic aware.
Halloween night is full of activity, and it’s not all on foot! Cars will also be driving around in the dark, so it’s up to your little ones to stay aware at all times!
