As we make our way through winter with the hopes of spring in sight, I’m keeping it together with this beautiful, tropical cocktail. It may not be summer yet, but the fresh fruit and vodka keep my spirits on the up and up. This citrusy Mineola Paloma cocktail is everything a good cocktail should be. It’s got quality vodka, fresh fruit juice, sweet in all the right places, and topped with chilled Pompelmo soda. Actually, I think I want another.

How to make a Tropical Citrus Cocktail

Ingredients: (Makes 2 servings)

  • 4 ounces quality vodka
  • 2 ounces orange curacao
  • 2 dashes Angostura orange bitters
  • juice of one ripe Mineola
  • Top with Pompelmo soda

How to make a Tropical Citrus Cocktail

Directions:

  1. Into a cocktail shaker tin, add ice, a quality vodka, orange curacao, bitters, and the juice of one ripe Mineola.
  2. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain into a standard rocks glass over ice.
  4. Top with a chilled Pompelmo soda.
  5. Serve.
