This Ham Cheese Croissant Bake is worth making for Easter dinner or a quick weekend meal.

When it comes to a simple recipe for the entire family, this is the one you’ll want to make.

The steps are simple to follow, and the flavor is out-of-this-world delicious.

Ham & Cheese Croissant Bake Recipe in a white casserole dish

Ham Cheese Croissant Bake Recipe

I’m always looking for great ways to use deli meat.

While a sandwich is nice, that doesn’t always give me the comfort food or flavor I want.

Now that I have this delicious casserole recipe, my worries are over.

I love knowing I can make this savory dish for a simple family meal or as a great way to feed family and friends.

This simple ham bake recipe serves up to 12 people, making it perfect for holiday gatherings.

Make sure that you also check out my Cadbury Mini Egg Cookies for a fun dessert idea for Easter.

What You Will Need:

Croissant. I like buying these from the local bakery, but you can also make homemade rolls and use them.

Deli ham. Have fun changing the flavor of the ham. You can use maple, honey, smoked, etc.

Eggs. This is the main binding agent for all the ingredients.

Heavy cream. Using heavy cream adds a nice richness to the rest of the dish.

Milk. I like to use 2% milk, but any milk will work.

Fresh rosemary and thyme. Using fresh herbs adds so much wonderful flavor to the dish!

Seasonings. The added seasonings for this recipe are simple but really do pack a punch of flavor.

Mozzarella cheese. I always use pre-shredded cheese to save prep time.

  3. Add the eggs, cream, milk, fresh herbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to a bowl.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Lightly spray the baking dish with nonstick spray.
  6. Dip the pieces of the croissants into the egg mixture, turning them and fully coating them.
  7. Be sure to shake off any excess mixture.
  8. Place into the baking dish until all have been fitted.
  9. Next, fold the ham slices in half, then half again, and in half once more to create the illusion of a rose.
  10. Slide the meat roses into the dish wherever you’d like.
  11. For smaller roses, cut the slices of meat in half first, then fold them in half (3 times) to make smaller roses.
  12. Add the small slices of cheese between the bread.
  13. Sprinkle the edges with the shredded cheese to help it stay together.
  14. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the egg mixture has cooked fully and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  15. Add honey, butter, and reserved herbs to a small bowl to make the sauce.
  16. Microwave in 30-second intervals.
  17. Brush the honey butter onto the croissants once removed from the oven.
  18. Serve and enjoy.

Can I use other meats besides ham?

Yes, those are two other great options if you want to use turkey or prosciutto.

The biggest thing to remember when making this recipe is that you want to use thin deli meat.

Having it too thick doesn’t provide the right texture for the rest of the dish.

Can I add other seasonings to this ham bake?

The seasonings options are up to you!

Remember that this is a savory dish, so keep that in mind when adding the seasonings.

How do I store leftovers?

Since this feeds a crowd, there is a good chance that you’ll have leftovers from this recipe.

Be sure to let it cool down to room temperature, and then add the leftovers to an airtight container.

Store the leftovers in the fridge and eat within 1-2 days for the best results.
