Shamrock Shake Copycat Recipe
Oh my goodness– this Shamrock Shake Copycat Recipe is ah-mazing! I love this time of year because it reminds that I can score yummy Shamrock Shakes from McDonald’s!
If you don’t want to spend the money on shakes every day (like me, lol) then here’s an awesome Shamrock Shake Copycat recipe that you can use to make your own shakes at home!
Ingredients –
- 2 C. vanilla ice cream
- 1 C. milk
- 1-2 drops of peppermint extract (start with 1 drop – it is very strong)
- 3-4 drop of green food coloring
- Whipped cream (optional)
- green & white sprinkles (optional)
Directions –
- In a blender combine the 2 cups of vanilla ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and green food coloring. Blend until well mixed but mixture should still be thick like a milk shake. Do not over blend.
- Serve immediately. Makes 2 servings.
How yummy!! Now I can save money by making my own instead of hitting up McDonald’s. I’m so excited to try this recipe 🙂
Love Shamrock shake copycats! Which is pretty hilarious considering I’ve never had an actual real life Shamrock shake lol! I do mine very similar, but with vanilla protein powder instead. It’s delicious 🙂 Happy early Saint Patrick’s Day, so glad to have found you over at Keeping it Simple tonight 🙂
I’m so glad you shared this at Mix it up Monday! My kids love these shakes, but I never made them at home…now I can 😉
Thanks 🙂 My son will love this!
I am so excited to make this! I have always wanted to try it! Pinned !
Oooh, yummy! Can’t wait to try this one 🙂 I haven’t had an actual shamrock shake before, but it sounds right up my alley – peppermint is my fave! Thanks for sharing at Think and Make Thursday!
You are all set for St. Patrick’s Day. Will I even remember to wear green?
Thank you for coming to the Inspire Me Monday Linky Party on Monday. I’m Janice, one of your hostesses.
