This was my Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinner Theme I created two years. That year instead of doing the traditional Harvest type of spread for Thanksgiving, I wanted to test out a different “look”.
Christmas is my favorite time of year and since our Christmas theme that year was Silver, White and Blue I decided to buy a few more items to go with that color scheme for the dinner table.
Winter Wonderland Party Decor Ideas
Winter Wonderland Table Decor Idea
As I start building my “little hobby” of a blog I will be going back and pulling my Table Decor ideas from the last few years. (this post was initially posted on my tabledecorideas.com blog, but then moved over here)
So a few things to keep in mind:
- I wasn’t taking pictures that I thought would go further then my camera, so they may not be that “clear”
- I didn’t take a lot of before, during and after pictures. Again not thinking several years later I would be writing a blog around it. 🙂
So please keep those things in my mind. However going forward I will do my best to capture more of my process!
For the plates, I used a simple white round plate with a silver trimming. I placed it against a grey charger. Simple white napkins and Crystal glasses to finish the table setting.
For the table runner, this white running with little crystal beads attracted me. I loved the simplicity of the color white with a little “pop”.
The table has “pops” of blue. The vases were purchased at Ikea several years ago. I went with clear vases with blue gel beads at the bottom. Topped with a variety of Christmas flowers to finish out the vases as the centerpiece of the table.
Here’s a close up of the tableware. I actually picked up the Crystal Glasses about 10 years ago at Sam’s Club during the Christmas season. And they have survived several dinner parties and three busy boys!
Another close up view of the table. As you can see under the white table running, I added a piece of grey silk to break up the black table.
And here’s the view of the full table along with the centerpiece, tableware and accessories.
I added snowflakes on the ceiling to help give it the winter wonderland effect. I picked the snowflakes up at my local Hobby Lobby.
Also if you notice outside past the patio window a set of blue sparkling lights. We had an outdoor Christmas Tree that I strung with blue lights to carry the look outside!
Here’s another view in black and white:
How do you plan to decorate your table and house for Christmas? Are you planning any Winter Parties?
