Thanksgiving Acorn Treats

When you think of Fall and Thanksgiving, you think of pumpkins, leaves, changing colors, and probably acorns.

Let’s be perfectly honest here; acorns aren’t available everywhere.

I’ve never had one before, but I love how they look.

They are cute and look delicious.

Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t, but since I haven’t found them anywhere, I’m getting creative.

These cute little acorn treats are perfect for the Fall season leading to Thanksgiving.

These are also great treats for school parties, Fall gatherings in the backyard, or just because you want to make some easy fall treats.

This treat is a no-bake recipe and is ready in minutes.

With only a few ingredients, you’ll be able to whip up a batch of acorn treats in no time.

For the frosting, you can use homemade buttercream or store-bought frosting.

I like using store-bought frosting for two reasons.

One, there is a minimal effort on my part.

And two, it’s stiffer, allowing the cookie to easily stick to the HERSHEY’s kiss.

Directions

  1. Taking one Hershey’s Kiss, apply a very small amount of frosting to the flat bottom. Gently press the frosting in the center of the flat side of a Vanilla Wafer (or ginger snap).
  2. Using one Butterscotch Chip, dab a very small amount of frosting onto the flat bottom and then press gently onto the center of the rounded side of the Vanilla Water.

In the updated version of this recipe, we’re using Mini Ginger Snap for the cookie base vs. Vanilla Wafers.

However, you can use either one, as they both work fine!
