Optional: Place each deviled egg onto a cracker for an elevated look.
Tips on prepping ahead for your party
We love to entertain, and one of the ways we can quickly serve several dishes at our parties is by planning.
Additionally, when you can prepare and make a few dishes ahead of time, it cuts down on the rushing around on the day of your get-together.
Can I Make Chicken Salad Deviled Eggs Ahead Of Time?
With our chicken salad recipe, you can prepare it 1-2 days in advance of your gathering.
Then, the night before your party or early the next morning, assemble your chicken salad into deviled eggs and return them to the fridge.
This allows you to stay ahead of your cooking schedule and focus on other aspects of your meal.
Store the filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator and fill the egg whites just before serving.
Add the plum, celery, carrot, and microgreens garnish right before plating for the best visual appeal and flavor.
What Can I Substitute For Walnuts Or Raisins?
If you don’t like walnuts, try pecans, almonds, or sunflower seeds for crunch. For a sweeter note, swap golden raisins with dried cranberries, currants, or chopped dates.
Can I Use Chicken Breast Instead Of Rotisserie Chicken?
Absolutely. Grilled, baked, or poached chicken breasts work just as well.
Just make sure to shred or chop the chicken finely before mixing.
How Do I Keep The Filling Creamy?
The key is not to over-process the mixture. Pulse until just smooth, leaving a bit of texture.
If the filling feels too thick, add a little more mayo or olive oil until it reaches a creamy consistency.
Are Chicken Salad Deviled Eggs Healthy?
Yes, these chicken salad deviled eggs are not only delicious but also a healthy choice.
Packed with protein from the eggs and chicken, healthy fats from olive oil and walnuts, and a balance of freshness from fruit and vegetables, this recipe is a nutritious addition to your menu.
What Occasions Are Best For Serving This Recipe?
These deviled eggs are not just for one occasion. They are perfect for parties, brunch spreads, potlucks, and holiday gatherings, such as Easter or Thanksgiving.
